UPPSC ARO Hindi Typing Test — Online Practice

Guidelines & Rules for UPPSC ARO Hindi Typing Skill Test

1. Total duration of the typing test is 5 minutes.
2. Qualifying Speed Requirement: Minimum 25 WPM (Net Speed) in Hindi typing — minimum 125 words in 5 minutes (approx. 625 key depressions).
3. Hindi Font & Layout Specification: Hindi typing test is conducted strictly on Mangal Unicode Font using the Remington Gail (Keyboard Layout).
4. Word Highlighting & Display: Blind typing interface (no live highlight and no red underline) on standard assessment platform. Master passage is on top and typing area is below.
5. Backspace Policy: Fully allowed/enabled throughout the test session to edit and correct mistakes within the typed text.
6. Error Evaluation & Mistakes:
   • Full Mistake (1 Error): Omission of word, substitution of wrong word, addition of unnecessary word, severe spelling error.
   • Half Mistake (0.5 Error): Spacing errors, punctuation errors.
7. Candidates must complete the test in one sitting — do not refresh or close the window mid-test.
