Guidelines & Rules for Bihar Civil Court CRDW Skill Test

1. Total duration of the typing test is 10 minutes per language (English & Hindi both mandatory tests with short interval break). Total 100 Marks (50 English + 50 Hindi) are added to the final merit.
2. Qualifying Speed Requirements:
   • English Typing: Minimum 40 WPM (Net Speed) — 400 words in 10 minutes (approx. 2000 key depressions).
   • Hindi Typing: Minimum 30 WPM (Net Speed) — 300 words in 10 minutes (approx. 1500 key depressions).
3. Hindi Font & Layout Specification: Hindi typing test will be strictly conducted on Mangal Unicode Font using the official Remington Gail (Keyboard Layout). KrutiDev or DevLys is strictly NOT allowed.
4. Mandatory Qualifying Accuracy Floor: Minimum 90% Net Accuracy is compulsory in both English and Hindi separately. Candidates securing less than 90% accuracy will be disqualified.
5. Word Highlighting & Display: Blind typing interface (no live highlight and no red underline) on standard assessment platform. Legal master passage is on top and typing area is at the bottom.
6. Backspace Policy: Fully allowed/enabled throughout the test session to edit and correct typos within the typed text.
7. Error Evaluation & Mistakes:
   • Full Mistake (1 Error): Omission of word, substitution of wrong word, addition of unnecessary word, severe spelling error.
   • Half Mistake (0.5 Error): Spacing errors, capitalization/case errors (in English), punctuation errors.
8. Net Speed Formula: Net WPM = [Gross Words - (Full Mistakes + Half Mistakes × 0.5)] / 10 Minutes.
9. Candidates must complete the test in one sitting — do not refresh or close the window mid-test.
