Guidelines & Rules for MP CPCT Typing Test

  1. Total duration of the typing test is 15 minutes per language session.
  2. Qualifying Speed Requirements:
    • English Typing: Minimum 30 WPM (approx. 1500 key depressions).
    • Hindi Typing: Minimum 20 WPM (approx. 1000 key depressions) using Mangal Unicode Font (Remington Gail / Inscript).
  3. Word Highlighting & Display: Standard CPCT interface features word tracking and text scrolling. Master passage is on top and typing area is below.
  4. Backspace Policy: Fully allowed/enabled throughout the test session to edit and correct mistakes.
  5. Candidates must complete the test in one sitting — do not refresh or close the window mid-test.
